My Story
I thrive on conversations that spark meaningful change! With over 20 years of experience across sales, consultancy, and communication, I’ve specialised in helping purpose-driven organisations create sustainable impact through ethical business practices.
It’s been a strange career journey in which I’ve attempted to align commercial success with environmental responsibility. I’ve gained expertise in enterprise SaaS technology start-up companies like Zendesk and 8x8 Inc., and local nonprofits, before making a strategic transition in 2019 when I began an MSc in Sustainability and Behaviour Change, achieving a distinction from Liverpool John Moores University & The Centre for Alternative Technology.
After completing the MSc, I worked as a Development Consultant for a low-impact natural building solutions provider called Kind Sustainable Supplies. The company pioneered a materials-first approach to building and retrofitting buildings that prioritised low embodied carbon and minimal environmental impacts. While in the role, I designed and launched their low-impact training and consultancy services that embedded sustainable solutions into the commercial operations.
Colleagues describe Sam as thoughtful, grounded, and collaborative—someone who listens well, connects dots others miss, and brings calm clarity to complex situations. His approach integrates stakeholder engagement, strategic messaging, and values-driven operations with proven business development skills, including relationship-building, pipeline management, and risk assessment.
Based in Lewes and passionate about nature recovery, Sam seeks partnerships with organisations promoting environmental benefits locally and nationally. When not working, he enjoys walking the South Downs, wildlife observation, and reading about natural history and conservation.
